What is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC)?
Independent living residences offer a maintenance-free lifestyle. Should your needs change over time, a continuing care retirement community gives you the confidence of knowing long-term care is available on site at predictable costs. We offer a range of levels of living for financial security and peace of mind.

Senior living at Covenant Living at the Samarkand means living independently while having on-site access to a comprehensive menu of health care services and long-term care. We meet the needs of our residents by providing the following levels of living:
- Assisted Living
- Skilled Nursing
- Rehabilitation
- Skilled Memory Support
Who determines the proper transition plan should a resident need to move to another level in the Continuum of Care?
An interdisciplinary care team collaborates with the resident, family and staff.

Covenant Living at the Samarkand offers Skilled Nursing services to residents who require 24-hour nursing care.
CloseWho is primarily responsible for health care and medical services at Covenant Living at the Samarkand?
The Healthcare Administrator is responsible for the Healthcare center. The Director of Nursing oversees the nursing care.
CloseHow does my Primary Care Physician fit into my health care program at Covenant Living at the Samarkand?
Your Primary Care Physician can continue to provide care for you in Assisted Living. Your physician must agree to come to the campus to visit you, and have a way for the office to answer calls 24 hours a day and on weekends. You may also choose one of the physicians who come to the campus to provide your care.
CloseWhat happens if a resident requires hospitalization?
We will assist with arranging transfer to the hospital if it is required.
- In Assisted Living, you continue to pay your monthly rent while you are in the hospital.
- In Skilled Nursing, you will be asked if you would like to pay a bed hold to reserve your room during the time you are in the hospital
Is there a pharmacy at Covenant Living at the Samarkand?
There is no pharmacy on the campus.
- In Assisted Living, you may use the pharmacy of your choice, or you may use our contracted pharmacy.
- In Skilled Nursing, we have a contract pharmacy who provides all of our medication
Does Covenant Living at the Samarkand offer any type of exercise or wellness classes?
Yes, we offer a variety of exercise and wellness classes daily in the Healthcare Center.
CloseKeep in mind, you do not have to be a current resident of our retirement community to benefit from our Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing or short-term Rehabilitation services, nor will you have to pay an entrance fee to enter one of the areas noted above. In our short-term Rehabilitation program, we accept Medicare and are in-network providers for a number of managed care and Medicare Advantage programs.
